Canadian Blood Services
Canadian Blood Services is a national, not-for-profit charitable organization that manages the supply of blood and blood products in all provinces and territories outside of Quebec. Canadian Blood Services also oversees the OneMatch Stem Cell and Marrow Network and provides national leadership for organ and tissue donation and transplantation.

Throughout the year, Canadian Blood Services operates 41 permanent blood collection sites and holds more than 20,000 donor clinics. During the 2008/2009 year, more than one million units of whole blood, plasma and platelets were collected.

Héma-Québec
Created in September 1998, Héma-Quebec's mission is to efficiently provide adequate quantities of safe, optimal blood components, blood substitutes, human tissues and cord blood to meet the needs of all Quebec residents; provide and develop expertise, along with specialized and innovative services and products in the fields of transfusion medicine and human tissue transplantation. Héma-Québec has 1,300 employees, some 2,000 blood drives and more than 300,000 blood donors every year, 16,000 partner volunteers and more than 485,000 blood products delivered to hospitals in Quebec annually to fulfill the needs of patients.
