Canadian Hemophilia Society International Projects Fund


One of the goals of the Canadian Hemophilia Society is for the organization to be supportive of the global bleeding disorders community. In order to promote this goal, the CHS International Projects Committee manages an annual CHS International Fund accessible to the CHS, its chapters/regions and Hemophilia Treatment Centres, accepts proposals aimed at supporting hemophilia care in developing countries while providing guidance and support to sections and Treatment Centres engaged in twinning initiatives.

Twinning Projects submitted by the CHS, its chapters/regions and Canadian Hemophilia Treatment Centres must satisfactorily meet the application criteria as set by the CHS International Projects Committee. These twinning projects must be previously approved by the WFH, approved annually by CHS, the local Chapter / Region / Clinic Director and may be supported financially or otherwise by the committee beyond their WFH closing date in order to ensure a smooth transition to a sustainable model of hemophilia care.


CANADIAN HEMOPHILIA SOCIETY INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS COMMITTEE

The purpose of this committee is to provide support and guidance to CHS chapters/regions/Canadian Hemophilia Clinics engaged or wishing to become involved in twinning projects aimed at enhancing organizational capacity and supporting hemophilia care in developing countries. Given that the CHS has a fund to financially support such initiatives, the committee shall evaluate proposals and recommend funding for twinning projects submitted by the CHS, its chapters/regions and Canadian Hemophilia Treatment Centres that satisfactorily meet the application criteria as set by the committee.
